After months of organising we are proud to announce the dates/ venues and line-ups for the Community Skratch Tour 2010!
This years event will take in Ireland, UK, and Germany as we step things up for the third year in a row. The tour includes new music performances from your favourite CSG artists such as Jimmy Penguin, Deviant, & G.O.D… but also featuring performances from the one and only LORN all the way from the U.S for the Community Skratch BBQ, UK…. and exclusive album performances from Oslo Flow (Blam and Plato).
This year there will be Community Skratch BBQ’s in Berlin on Saturday 21st August and the usual finale in Brighton on August 28th.
Posters for all events will be online shortly, so please spread the word. Lets make it another amazing year!
The Skratchstream sprung back into action tonight with a live hour and a half from the one and only DJ Blam. Some sneaky new beats and a lot of new styles.
The Skratchstream will be back for 4 weeks only as we move into a series format. We will have a poster up this week to get the information out there about whats coming up in the next few weeks.
However, we can confirm that Jimmy Penguin is next up in the new regular Tuesday slot at 7pm GMT (8pm UK Time).

Very exciting news on the way about this years summer shows, but for now check out what we’ve done so for….
We have been waiting an awfully long time for an album by the cryptically original dynamite duo of Doctor Blam and Professor Plato, but following a bolt all doors weekend of intense scratching and philosophy, we are well on our way to hearing it.
The Norwegian natives brought their unique flavours to London to record the album alongside NozL Recordings pair, Maroon and Lone Wolf. There were some sizzling cuts laid down and we just cannot wait until it finally hits the vinyl cutting room!!!
Lone Wolf buzzed about very conspicuously recording footage of the long weekend and has pieced it together to form a mini documentary for your enjoyment for the now and as a mouth watering taster of what will be powering it’s way into record shops in mid 2010!
Help us try and push the video by pasting the embedded links on your forums and sites and telling your chums and aunty Ethel to watch it so they can understand why we all like skratching so much!
We don’t think we’ve heard many more sincere ways to describe the way in which we like scratching than these two incredible guys have shown in the film.

Because we are incredible nerds and because we are now starting to get quite a few people checking our humble blog, I hope to do some live broadcasts of the recording process and archive them until Monday.
Catch exclusive action from Blam, Plato, Lone Wolf, and Maroon right here throughout the weekend. If this works out, I hope to do the same at the Skratch Games in April..

At long last I can confirm that recording process for the Blam and Plato album is about to begin. So in fact it hasn’t yet begun. But nevertheless the boys will be travelling from Norway to the UK to work with Lone Wolf and Maroon on producing their future masterpiece!
The ALL NEW beats will be a trademark mix of heavy hitting Plato bangers alongside Blam’s syncopated fury. Thrown into the mix too will be some exclusive rhythms from Lone Wolf.
We expect the release to be available late Spring 2010, but as always this years releases will get their premier at the Community Skratch Games in Galway (Eire) between the 1st and 4th April 2010. yet another reason why this years festivities are not to be missed!

We are very pleased to announce that our regular video webcasts in the Skratch Stream will begin with a sneaky peek into a practice session with one of the most original skratch DJs on the planet – DJ Blam from Norway.
For the uninitiated, Blam has his own very unique sound unlike anyone else you have ever heard. You can look forward to a demonstration of how musical and thoughtful skratching can be. This is not to be missed.

Back in August, 14 of the Community Skratch collective hit the roads of England over 6 days to perform at 5 venues across the length of the country.
As you can see from the video above the whole tour was an incredible success.
